A party dress from 1957 can be made as a sheath dress or with a full pleated skirt. Both have princess lines with a crossed, pleated bodice and deep back scoop. Make the dress with below elbow length sleeves or a sleeveless version. The pattern includes several bonus pieces. In addition to separate bodice pieces for Views C & D, bonus lining pieces have been provided in case you would prefer to line the dress instead of finishing the neckline and armholes with bias facing. The instructions for the optional lining are provided after the original bias finishing.
PDF versions include a copy shop print version as well as a letter/A4 version that you can print out at home. A picture of the inspiration pattern has been provided. The pattern has been scanned and graded from the original inspiration pattern. As vintage sizing has been used, I recommend making a muslin for fitting purposes.
